All Spanish verbs belong to one of three different classes, or conjugations, according to the ending of the infinitive, the verb form ending in _ ar, _ er or _ ir.
Each conjugation has its own set of endings that are added to the stem for the different persons of the verb.
HABLAR (to speak) COMER (to eat) VIVIR (to live)
hablo i speak como i eat vivo i live
hablas you speak comes you eat vives you live

habla he,she speaks come he.she eats vive he, she lives
hablamos we speak comemos we eat vivimos we live
hablan you all, comen you all, viven you all,
